What it is

Writing on a tablet, the creator brush-letters the Chinese name of each province in white and works a red cursive “Love me” into the strokes, cut to the beat of the music. Liaoning (辽宁), for example, has the red script running through the middle of the two characters. Every province gets its turn.

Why it is trending

It reached No. 2 on Bilibili’s site-wide chart. Provincial pride does the rest: viewers wait for their own province and flood the comments and the on-screen danmaku with their home slogans.

The most-liked comments call it heart-warming to see every province in one positive roll call, and joke that the ancient inventors of Chinese characters must have hidden “love me” in them on purpose.
